Program Liaison

Ira has been a tremendous help expanding the Summer Program and launching the Post-Orphanage Program.  She has worked as our liaison in Russia, coordinating all of our field trips and activities, translating, and generally keeping Tom and Jody out of trouble.

Ira is always there to solve any problems that arise, and our programs simply would not be possible without her commitment to the programs and her passion for helping the kids in the orphanages.  She has continued to work tirelessly to ensure that every kid at the orphanage gets the love and attention they need and deserve.  Throughout the year, she visits the orphanage and keeps in contact with Tatiana and the orphanage staff to send us updates, translates our letters back and forth, and works with the orphanage directors to set up the programs.

Ira recently started working as a school teacher in Kostroma, Russia, teaching English.
